Woodcut printing is a technique for printing text, images or patterns used widely throughout East Asia and originating in China in antiquity as a method of printing on textiles and later paper.

This course will be offering you the chance to learn the method of Woodcut Printing with a professional artist providing enthusiastic tuition and advice at a high technical Level.
Using high quality cutting tools, rollers and oil based inks, this is a class for those that enjoy the physicality of materials. This course will introduce students to materials, cutting techniques, the production of a multi-layered image, and the use of different inks.
Wal Chirachaisakul recently received his Bachelor’s degree in printmaking from P.S.G Silapakorn University. He specialises in mezzotint technique and is the recipient of several print contests in Thailand and abroad. He will be teaching in English and Thai.
